Question:

Why do people need C-PAP or BiPAP?

Answers

C-PAP is a continuous positive airway pressure
BiPAP is a Bilevel Positive Airway pressure
Both machines have the same functions and designs the same. It is anon-invasive therapy for patients with sleep apnea. This machine provides pressurized oxygen for the patients through a mask. It acts as a splint from throat muscle collapse and prevents obstruction. It allows the patients to breathe easily and regulate their sleep for the night.

The doctor will set pressure in the C-PAP machine for the correct amount of pressure needed continuously. Difference between these two machines BiPap machine has two pressure settings for inhalation and low pressure for exhalation. It makes the patient get more air in and out of the lungs. C-PaP find more difficulty with pressure settings to manage to exhale against. Sleep technician and doctor will decide which machine is best for your condition.
