Answer. Informal observation is basically when the population is less aware or not aware at all about the research being taken place by the researcher.

Research examples for informal observation would be :-

1. To understand children’s behaviour towards children they don’t know . The researcher can simply sit in a playground and observe children playing . He can send his own child as THE STRANGER CHILD and see how the children react .

To study consumer behaviour by directly observing them in a shop where they buy stuff.
