Answers

Calcium and Iodine form a ionic compound which is CaI2.

Total molar mass of the compound = molar mass of Ca +

2 x molar mass of I

= 40 g/mol + 2 x 126.9 g/mol = 293.8 g/mol

Mass of 1 mole of ionic compound = Molar mass of ionic compound x 1 = 293.8 g/mol x 1 = 293.8 g/mol
