###### Question:

MAT 2440 Project 1, Spring 2020 This assignment is due on March 18, 2020 at the beginning of the class. You may submit it as a hard copy or electronically as a pdf document. You have 2 logic puzzles to solve, and a short feedback report to write. Justify all your work. For example, for each of these puzzles: (a) Decide on symbols to represent the information, for example "S" can represent "Susan". (b) Make a table and use logical reasoning to determine the correct entries in the table. 1. Three monsters, Fred, Ned, and Ted, were born on the 4th, 9th, and 18th of January, April and November of the same year. Grogs cannot remember which day goes with which month or monster. However, he does remember a few things. He remembers giving one of the three monsters a ukelele for his birthday on April 4th. Fred and Ted were born on even-numbered days. Fred is the oldest of the three monsters. Find each monster's birthday. 2 Rachel has two sisters: Amy and Janice. Each of the three siblings has a different vehicle: a car, a truck, and a motorcycle. Janice parks her truck across from a white car. The girl with the red vehicle recently had both tires replaced. One vehicle is black. Match each sibling to the right vehicle and color. Write a feedbak report, which must be included with this assignment in order to receive full credit. The feedback should contain the following information: (a) Were the puzzles level appropriate? (b) What suggestions would you make for improvement to the puzzles?
