Which of the following causes the characteristic palisade arrangement of Corynebacterium diphtheriae cells when viewed on a slide? A) lophotrichous flagella
B) snapping division
C) endospore formation
D) the large glycocalyx

Answers

Answer:snapping divisionExplanation:Snapping division a form of binary fission is a type of reproduction in prokaryotes that results in a palisade arrangement of cells. Corynebacterium diphtheriae cells reproduce by snapping division. In snapping division of bacteria only the inner layer of the cell wall forms. This puts tension on the remaining cell wall causing it to "snap" or tear. The two cells still remain attached by the remaining cell wall called a hinge.
