Hello there! The poem “Talking in their sleep” is a poem about a tree that goes into hibernation.Every winter a tree loses its leave. Depending on the condition it may or may not look in a bad condition. This tree feels that someone else feels it no longer has any beauty due to the harsh winter. It though feels that it can prove the person wrong - in the spring when it is once again beautiful. Therefore the central idea of the poem may be something like the quote “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. Although the tree may not seem alive at the moment, it will be beautiful once again.I hope this helps you!~Alexa
