###### Question:

What are some of the long-term effects of mining in the Picher Mining District

## Answers

OK so some of the long term effects would be Black lung, Congestive heart failure, Non fatal cancer, Reduction in life expectancy, Chronic bronchitis, Respiratory hospital admissions. Loss of IQ from air and water pollution.

I believe the answer is: increased amounts of vegetationMining would increase the amount of pollutants in the soil composition and water reserve on the environment near it. This would make a lot of types of vegetation unable to obtain necessary nutrient to survive. In the long rune, the amounts of vegetation would keep decreasing.
